Community Family Centers announced today that Valero Refineries will be the Platinum Sponsor for the 50th Anniversary Gala. The gala will be held on Thursday, September 15th at the Hilton Americas Downtown and has various sponsorship levels still available.
President and CEO Maritza Guerrero, upon learning of sponsorship from Valero, stated: “I am thrilled that Valero Refineries has decided to be our Platinum Sponsor for the 50th Anniversary Gala. The dedication and investment that Valero has shown towards the Greater East End of Houston is awe-inspiring. Valero’s continued support of CFC is part of why we have been able to adapt and increase our reach in the community.”

Community Family Centers (CFC) was started 50 years ago by a small group of concerned citizens who understood the great need for social services in their neighborhood. Throughout our time in Houston’s East End, CFC has grown and transformed into an organization that focuses on ending cycles of generational poverty by providing educational resources and basic need services.
Valero’s approach to successful community engagement is to work collaboratively and tailor our partnerships and outreach to meet each community’s unique needs. Valero’s community investment is also viewed through a lens of environmental justice where all people are treated fairly and compassionately, while ensuring our community support is impactful and creates long-term value.
